Paper & Grace

I think I’m getting my own Mother’s Day gift this year.  It’s such a great idea, really.  Take a drawing from your child and create a piece of wearable art. 

My daughter has created a vast portfolio of art over her 11 years of life. Pictures galore, stories, studies of horse hooves and all manner of animal.  The biggest problem I’ll face with her selection  is choosing which piece to submit.  My son on the other hand is in denial over the use of any writing instrument.  He doesn’t really draw too much and his paintings are sometimes beautiful swirling dynamic pieces of abstract art.  They are the types of works that you create first and then decide what they are, only when asked.  No matter, I love both of their different approaches and perspectives.  Their work is energy and focus manifest on paper.
