Social media may have thousands of followers and dominate headlines, but pen pal programs have made a strong comeback over the years. A Paper and Grace favorite is the beautiful and versatile handmade paper from Nepal. The variety of designs and textures makes this a go-to for gift wrap and journal making.  However, our Marketing Manager, Kelsey Thrush, discovered the unique prints make for beautiful origami stars!  

Wax seals date back to before the invention of pen and paper but they didn't gain popularity until the Middle Ages. They were an integral part of signing an official document and sending/receiving letters to ensure that a document or letter wasn't tampered with during its journey. Seals had unique designs such as a coat of arms or emblem that identified the owner which carried the same weight and authority now as a written signature. Typically a seal was destroyed if the owner of the seal died, which is why so few original seals exist today.

If there is one thing you will find on all of our desks - it's a good pen.  So of course we understand the importance of an equally high-quality notebook. While our Paper and Grace roots might be in stationery, we equally adore finely crafted home goods.  There is something about the tangibility that comes from handmade goods, making the corners of our homes feel that much more special.

Our Paper and Grace team definitely believes in being grateful for more than a mere 30 days, but we also believe in a month that reminds everyone that gratitude is so much more than saying 'Thank you.'  Gratitude is about appreciating what you have now and is improved through acts of kindness. Though it can be a habit that proves hard in our world.
